Finally got round to uploading pictures from our trip to Croatia....we were actually guests at a wedding !!. We were staying in Dubrovnik just outside the old town in a gorgeous old farm house (Bokun Guest House) . The Old town made famous in Game of Thrones and also Mamma Mia began in the 7th Century when refugees settled there and from this it became a well known trade centre for the Adriatic. This place Is perfect for weddings, if your in the process of looking try September for a cooler temp and less tourists. We only decided to walk the city walls (about £20 each) when we knew it was going to rain, it had been 40 degrees as they had been having a heat wave so the rain made it a little less sweaty. We then took a boat trip to the island of Lokrum (around £8 each) also a gorgeous setting for weddings, the island is a UNESCO site and rabbits and peacocks roam freely amongst the Benedictine Abbey and Monastery ruins...…..

At the end of the day it’s a city that’s lived in ... respect them, respect the city and be a good tourist.
